This hand-knotted rug is made with wool pile and cotton foundation. The yarns are entirely hand-spun using a traditional spindle and dyed with natural root dyes. For instance, red tones are achieved by boiling wool with rose petals. The rug features approximately 500,000 Turkish knots (double knots), ensuring high durability and long life compared to Persian rugs. Over time, the naturally dyed wool becomes shinier with use.
