This carpet’s warp and weft are cotton, and the knots are made of wool yarn. The yarns are completely hand-spun using the kirman technique. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed with natural materials called root dyes. For example, to obtain the red color, wool yarns are boiled with rose petals, and the yarn takes the color of the petals; yarns dyed this way are called root-dyed yarns. Carpets made with root-dyed yarns become more lustrous with use.

This carpet is of premium quality in terms of weaving density and is woven using the Turkish knot (also known as the double knot) technique. This feature makes it more durable and gives it a longer lifespan compared to Persian carpets. Approximately 650,000 hand knots have been tied during the weaving of this carpet.

If any liquid spills on the carpet, first blot the area thoroughly with a paper towel, then gently clean it with a cloth using white bar soap foam.
