1. Product Features
This rug is handwoven with a cotton warp and weft and wool knots, crafted entirely by hand using the traditional kirman spindle technique. The wool yarns used in the knots are dyed with natural root dyes—such as rose petals boiled to achieve red tones. Rugs made with root-dyed wool yarns gain a richer and shinier appearance over time.
This high-quality rug is woven using the Turkish (double) knot technique, making it more durable and longer-lasting than many Persian rugs. Approximately 500,000 hand knots were tied in its creation.
